How you make a difference
The Billing Coordinatoris responsible forpreparing patient billing and handling various accounting duties. They communicate with patients and payors to address claims-related inquiries and discrepancies. Additionally, they reconcile monthly vehicle, fuel and maintenance statements and prepare bi-weekly billing journal entries for submission to Corporate Accounts Receivable.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review daily patient billing and respond to patient and payor inquiries.
Assistwith completion of prior authorizations and ensureaccurateidentification and verification of third-party coverage.
Prepare bi-weekly billing journal entry and follow up with patients on outstanding invoices.
Review outstanding balances in patient accounts and explain charge totals and co-pays to patients.
Maintainaccuraterecords in internal database and ensure proper billing codes and payor information are entered.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Business Degree preferred.
Experience
Two (2) years of general office experience.
Familiarization with general accounting software to include Great Plains preferred.
Experience with EHR billing and reporting. Cerner experience preferred.
