Correct Care Solutions Employee Relations Senior Specialist, SG&A in Nashville, Tennessee


Our Senior Employee Relations Specialist will administer human resources policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations. The Specialist will partner with field and Home Office business leaders to provide counsel on performance improvement, corrective action, FMLA, ADA, and similar processes ensuring that matters of employment are handled fairly and consistently.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.


  • Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience, preferably specializing in Employee Relations.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Federal, State and local employment laws. (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.).

  • Strong customer service orientation, with specialized knowledge of Employee Relations processes and policies and company policies and practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving, inquiry management, investigatory and issue resolution skills.

  • Proactive and solution focused with an ability to deal effectively with difficult interactions and tough issues.

  1. Coaches and counsels all levels of management on the handling of complex employee relations issues, including providing assistance and guidance on performance management, corrective action, and termination in accordance with policy.

  2. Assists management with internal investigative procedures by offering options that will minimize legal exposure and remain in accordance with policies, procedures, and best practices. Serves as primary investigator for all matters related to harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, workplace violence, and a variety of other employment situations.

  3. Facilitates communication among employees and management by providing guidance and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, litigation avoidance and strives to resolve internal conflict informally through appropriate conflict management and mediation techniques.

  4. In conjunction with management, facilitates and leads the interactive process and requests for accommodations under the American's with Disabilities Act, as amended.

  5. Participates in unemployment hearing prep calls and testifies at hearings as appropriate.

  6. Facilitates new employee orientation as part of the start-up, new hire, and continuing education processes.

  7. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

  8. Partners with and educates field and Home Office staff on proper HR system processes to promote and ensure timely processing of all employee information.

  9. Travel required.

  10. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

  11. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  12. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  13. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  14. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  15. Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.

  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
